Senior Pastor
Pastor Josh Parker Sr. moved to Tallahassee to take the senior pastorate in June of 2006 with his wife, Jennifer, and their four children - Joshua Jr. (5), Chloe (5), Madelyn (4), and Tobey (2).
He is originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Pastor Josh has been in the ministry for ten years, with Crossway being his fourth church. He was licensed and ordained to full-time ministry in 2000. He received an associate degree in 2001 from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and is working on his Bachelor/Mastors degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Minister of Music
Chuck Chipps came to the Crossway family in April 2008. He joins us with his wife, Diana; they will be celebrating twenty-seven years of marriage this coming November!
He started church ministry work in 1977, and was licensed to the ministry in 1986, prior to attending Florida Baptist Theological College - where he earned his bachelor's degree in Church Music Ministry in 1990.
He has served in a number of small, medium, and larger churches with youth and music, and has been involved in bi-vocational by choice and by calling since 1992. He has traveled in three christian music groups, mostly in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama for 5-6 years, and for two years, he was apart of a three-week music tour in England, Scotland, and Wales.
Youth Director
Jeremy Zinser joined the staff in May 2009 with his wife, Mindy, and their three children - Madyson (8), Colby (5), and Macy (3).
He is a local born and raised in Crawfordville, Fl. He was a lay person that had been working with the youth for a year before he was called into ministry. This is his first ministry position, but he and his wife feel excited and blessed that God called them to lead the youth group to a closer walk with Jesus.
Children's Director
Jennifer Parker is the pastor's wife, and a certified Kindergarten through 8th grade teacher. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She taught various grades and subjects for four years in Mississippi, before moving to Florida in 2006.
She is now a stay-at-home mother of four children, care-giver of other children in her home, and director of all children ministries at Crossway. She believes that the children are the church's future, and wants to grow the children to become future leaders of the church in a loving, encouraging environment.
Nursery Director
Mindy Zinser has been a member of Crossway since May 2008. She loves working with children. She has a Directors Credential and a CDA in childcare, CPR, 1st aid certified, and much more. She is the director at We’re All So Precious Learning Center and the Manager of Precious Years Day Care Center and I’am Precious Too Learning Center. She is married to Jeremy Zinser, the youth director, and have three children -Madyson (7), Colby (5), and Macy (3). Children are her love, her life, and her specialty. She loves and cares for the ones most precious to you and me.
Sunday School Director
Nancy Ellenburg has been a member of Crossway Baptist Church for twelve plus years, along with her husband of 36 years, Thomas, and her daughter, Tayna.
Nancy has been the Sunday School director for the past 7 years. She has also held several other positions int the church, such as Sunday school teacher, children's church teacher, church clerk, assistant director of Sunday School, and she has been the VBS director for the past three years. Along with all her church roles, she was also the VBS teacher for the Southern Baptist Association a few years ago.
